The Roland TD-50KV2 has a better stage presence, because of the full-sized drum kick, but it also has a drum module that has much more sounds than the TD-50KV's drum module. There is no difference in build quality between the two, and arguably the TD-50KV is a better value e-drum kit.

If you plan on doing live performances, than the TD-50KV2 might be a better choice because of the better kick drum as well as some other minor feature improvements such as the digital snare. But if value and portability are important for you, than the TD-50KV is still a great e-drum kit.
